Well, Microsoft is our publisher as well as the XBLA gatekeeper. Part of what took so long in pre-cert was our publisher wanting to make sure it slid...
JUST checked with the producer. She says you cannot drop a single item, although you can destroy a single item if you don't want to carry it/do want...
It HURT to just choose a few entries. There were some excellent entries. Captain's deer stew, Fraser's rabbit wrapped with salmon... mmm. But we gave...
Hey, I know you meant well, OP, but we have several threads exactly like this going right now... and ironically, because of the spam tools I have, it...
Let me back up. Shaun was the one who said someone could be killed. He is our technical director, and he would know, because nothing got in the game without passing through his hands or brain.
But no survivor on survivor violence is what I've been hearing for months! I certainly cannot put a cap in a deserving ass! What is this madness!?
It turns out it's almost a variation on suicide, really. I hadn't
Oh, and as for the ACTUAL questions Bronxsta asked:
Yes, you can clear and retake an overrun base.
The way the stamina/fatigue thing works is that if you push your survivor too hard and you don't let him/her have a solid night of sleep in a bed, you will increase the rate at which he/she becomes fatigued.
So say I'm fresh as a daisy. I lose a little bit of stamina each time I swing a knife, and I lose that plus some more when I swing something heavy like
So, in the line at PAX, more than one person who heard my introduction said "If there's an RPG game mixed in there, and every survivor can die, how does THAT work?"
And of course, I knew that Lily can't die.
Lily is the radio operator. She's a survivor, but from a game point of view, she's Dr. Polito from System Shock 2 (only she turns out to be CONSISTENTLY helpful and good as opposed to secretly being a malevolent computer entity from hell). You cannot
There are a couple threads going on this, so I figured I'd just make one thread to rule them all.
And in the darkness...sorry, wrong game.
The question was "can you play past the last story mission?"
Brant said no, I said yes. Brant and I are both wrong. Sort of.
You already know that you can't save the game, and that the game saves automatically after major events - skilling up, death, starting a mission, ending a mission, etc.
- Finish the game (we're squashing bugs)
- Send to Microsoft for "certification." That means they verify that the game is playable and will not harm their brand/reputation. You all know this as an Undead Labs game, but I think most casual users who just see it on XBLA and decide to try it will think of it as an XBLA game... and blame Microsoft if it's not good enough. This process can take anywhere from one to multiple weeks. The game may
