What has this company been doing the last three years?

How does a private enterprise not produce a product in three years?
I have watched since 2009 and even thought about applying until I read the pay plan a year or two ago. What is the hold up?
----------------------------------------------------------------
I just looked real quick, and the DayZ mod for Arma II was made non-profit and took less than a year to produce. Since it's release, which was last month or the one before, it has been announced that a DayZ mod will be part of Arma III which releases this year if it can keep on schedule.
Arma II was complete for the mod to be made. The map was 225 km squared or something like that. The map was made and so were most the skins and weapons. It was 2007 when Arma was released, and 2009 when Arma II was released. A new COD is released once a year by the publisher, but once every two years by the individual developing companies though I didn't notice much advancement from MW2 to MW3, and the Treyarch games are so horrid it isn't worth me looking up the spelling of their company name right now IMO.
Now to be clear, Diablo 3 took like 15 years or whatever it was. And if this game isn't done then I am sure there is a reason for it, but what is the hold up?
I mean if you need more people, then hire them. Where is this game in the design process? I mean I see polls all over asking what people want in the game, but I hope that is all figured out by now. I mean looking at the news articles the world is 8 km squared, which is fine by me. I think the exact words I read were something like over the past few months they got to Alpha stage. It will be available on the xbox 360, which is super lame. That technology is nearly a decade old.
The game should be released for pc, consoles are on the way out. The game will release, and be out for only a year before the console it is designed for is replaced. However, I am sure the 720 will have backwards compatibility. The system itself will either rival pcs in price or it won't rival them in performance.
I guess since the game is in Alpha stage that they should not have much hold up left. I still would like a list of what they have left to do.
So far I see these things are needed to be done:
animation polish
combat polish
simulation system tuning and balancing
fleshing out the tech tree
performance improvements
UI refinement
voiceover (VO) production
story tweaks
bug fixing
balance tuning

Alright high school, here is a summer lesson for you. When you start a company you typically don't do it over night, at least not when you are co-founder of arenanet.
Edit:
Well I am out of here. I was mistaken about this Class 3. It isn't the mmo that I thought it would be. It is just some L4D wannabe in which only two people can play co-op.
Have a good fourth, and enjoy the fireworks!
See ya
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I just got back to looking at this project since the last time I checked the pay. So you must be right. Have a good fourth, enjoy the revolutionary 2 player co-op. And I asked if you were a fanboy. Now I know.

Last I heard Activision was launching a lawsuit because Treyarch made BO 2 suck too bad. Don't get me wrong though, that company just has a CEO who hates gamers all together. I was hoping when Vivendi sold their stock in Activision in 2011 that Bobby would be replaced. Now Vivendi is expected to sell again, this time their entire holding which is more than ownership. Hopefully it will finally be the last we hear of Bobby.
Here is something to think about there Deil. Clang is a kickstarter by Subutai Corporation, the face is Neil Stephenson. It is set to be finished by next February. That includes developing a fancier wii remote too. They have 5 days to go with 100k left to earn. (which thankfully to "Fear of Loss" it will make it) That tall order has a "nerd famous" author leading it. Your stupid idea that just anyone can form a successful kickstarter is wrong. Even with nerd fame you can go down to the last 5 days to collect the 500k that it doesn't even look like Subutai really needs if you watch the videos to see how far they actually are in the project.
I'd be sorry that the DLC you bought went on sale, but it used to be common that DLC would eventually become free a few months after release. Though adding maps, weapons, and skins also is typically a mod thing where community members produce extra content for free.
I don't care if you try to insult me as long as you add something intelligent to the conversation, which you did Deil, props. So that you know, it is Activision policy to reduce the number of their servers based on the number of new players they are getting. The really janky thing with them is that during the free weekends many of the hack sites offer free weekends as well. Maybe that is more of a pc issue than a console though.
To answer your question, no, I never heard of "the last of us". Probably because it was just a single player game that didn't sell very well. I could be wrong though.
I find it funny that you complain about me complaining about the time that game production is taking this company. I would have thought you'd complain that a bunch of people on the forums are issuing polls for a game already in Alpha as if they will impact how big the map should be.
Overall, I want to say that Undead Labs needs someone in management that will set deadlines.

Some fanboys called me dumb, and the moderator said she didn't like my tone lol. Some other guy told me to do something to do with the revolutionary war. lol whatever
Edit: I put in red the part that everyone repeats to me as though I don't know it.
