I Kyd You Not

Last month in our Q&A Ragdolls, Land Mines, and Tentacles, we promised to reveal the composer for Class3.

Today we’re excited to announce we’ve signed BAFTA award-winning composer Jesper Kyd to the project. Jesper is perhaps best known for scoring the Hitman and Assassin’s Creed series, both of which earned him numerous industry awards. Now Jesper’s capturing the Faded Americana style of Class3 in a dark cinematic score mixing live acoustic performances.

Undead Labs Audio Director Kevin Patzelt has been working closely with Jesper over the past few months. Kevin shares his thoughts on the musical goals for Class3, and why Jesper is the ideal composer for the project, in the article Scoring the Apocalypse.

Welcome to our world, Jesper!

I love Panoramic.. first time I heard that one, I paused the movie to find out what it was called. That is the test, does it get me to pause the movie… in this case, yes it did.

Music is such an important part of a game. But it is sometimes necessary (in certain game parts) to completely shut down the music. Like you’re always with music, it sets the mood and it kinda relaxes you. But when you’re trying to get past a group of zombies without being detected and suddenly the music goes out and the zombie moans go up it just has you shitting your pants.

I am very very pleased about this, I am a Huge Fan of the Hitman series. the music was amazing! though in Blood money in the main menu did get tiring after awhile. I was so pi$$ed when I found out he was not doing the music for absolution but this makes up for it unfold… good stuff Good stuff

I was wondering, when Class 4 is eventually with us what will happen to the fort that I have spent hours building when I am offline? Will others be able to ransack it while Im in bed?
