Building a new kind of MMO aint like dustin’ crops

I don’t know. Dusting crops sounds kind of like hard work to me. I mean, what is the “dust” anyway? Is it okay to breathe it? Or maybe crop dust can be a source of zombie plague…

In any case, we’d sure rather be making games than dusting crops, differences in difficulty notwithstanding.

We’ve been very busy this spring getting the financing for our studio lined up and refining the core game design. The good news is that we are almost across the finish line, and we’ll soon be able to announce our partner and start giving you more details on the design and development of the world’s first MMOZ.

It’s going to be an exciting summer at Undead Labs. Thanks for your patience, and stay tuned.

Jeff

Will you be at or showing anything at E3? I’m very interested in seeing how your ‘Zombieverse’ is coming along.

    Cheers,

Is there any avenue for contributing design ideas in the early phases? I’ve been dreaming up Zombie MMO ideas for some time and given that I doubt I’ll ever build one I’d love for them to be given consideration.

I’m very excited to kill zombies with a nu. 2 pencils and maybe even a giant beach umbrella.

Can I use a garbage can lid as a shield in one hand and a bat/double barrel shotgun in the other?!

Thank God!!! You, made my day APB failed me ! It seems like every time a MMO is said to be for console it never happens !

At least with dusting crops you won’t end up in a star or bounce to close to a supernova.

I’m excited to see what you’ll do with an MMOZ.

Its good to see that this is still on-going :-)
I hear Microsoft are not making it easy for MMO’s to come out on the Xbox, but keeping my fingers crossed for this.

For me the best part of a zombie movie is the – often far too quickly glossed over – breakdown of society. For example: the new Dawn of the Dead film. I wanted the whole movie to be opening credits (during which they played Cash’s ‘The Man Comes Around’).

Have you thought about opening the game with the beginning of the outbreak, and having everyone work to survive it?

Yay! New updates! As an unabashed fan-girl of Jeff Strain’s work, I am going to put the bookmark to this site at the top of my ‘to look at every day’ list again. Whee! :-D
