      Regarding the fast/slow zombie question: Have you read any of the books in the Morningstar Strain? The zombie virus in those novels in-effect turns living people into the ‘rage-infected’ carriers from 28 Days Later. After they’re killed, the virus then re-animates them into slow-moving zombies.
